Call your footstool "Facebook Prison", and use names of those spreaders of mis, dis and mal information.

Plenty of people out there, many "imprisoned" for no real crimes.

Good spotting. The original design called for a protruding end cap on the arms there but the risk to a wine glass was too great so I made it flush!

Was woodworking a hobby or a profession, Richard? Those pieces appear excellent.

Regarding those Covid 404s, I've built my own archive offline. Articles, videos, and more than a few memes.

It must grate heavily on the S&E crowd that videos are popping up comparing what they said early with what they said later. And some of us do have long memories. I called Paul Murray out on Facebook, back when I still had an account there. I reminded him that he'd once described anti-vaxxers as lunatics - a few hours later, I was blocked.

Thanks for the comment on my wordwork…up close though you’d have no doubts about whether I’m a pro or a pretender! Having said that I think I’m getting better and getting my cataracts replaced with artificial lenses has improved my accuracy! Turns out nearly all our fearless journalists were also not pros but pretenders, melting under fire.

I wonder what will it take for that contemporaneous evidence such as you’ve collected to be actively sought out, publicised and used for some sort of reckoning?
