Over the past weeks, I have endeavoured to communicate-in the hope of receiving replies to my concerns-with three large organisations; nothing doing.

Proforma emails from outsourced Indian offshoots, unanswered phone calls: muzak, 'all our agents are busy', 'please try later', chatbots, recorded messages aimed at deterring the querent and silence.

This, to me, is stonewalling and it has spread in recent times.

I have no trust now in most of our institutions and I, too, take refuge in shallow small talk, so great is the distance which now prevails between just about everyone I know and heretical outliers like me ,who see through the lies, the corruption, the doublethink and the

media's panic button.

Substack is our refuge, where we can replace the daily careful banalities with enlivening discussion, debate, humour and a sense of belonging.

The NAA will try to hide everything for as long as possible. Remember how each of the Premiers would say "The latest Health advice is", then proceed to impose harsher and harsher Rulz. Has anyone seen those "Health Advice"s??

I get you on the Trust, I have encountered the same.

I thought I was red pilled before Covid.

After covid, i see the lies, big and small everywhere. Our country is completely corrupted by them.

We can only take hope in the fact that politicians in UK , Germany and Japan are speaking out in-parliaments and belling the cat on deaths and injuries. Unfortunately the guy in the Uk addressed a near empty chamber. I bet if you could obtain the text messages, it would show Dan let out the contract for the disastrous hotel quarantine from inside the national cabinet meeting

Always so true. It is hard to keep biting your tongue and engaging small talk. I hope you are eventually successful. But the morons who govern us do not want the truth to come out. So disheartening today at a pre poll booth, the Labor sitting member called the group that is standing to call attention to the last few years overreach - a bunch of white supremacists. The truth has to come out and this nightmare end.

Those of us who have deserted the BBC,objecting to bias and the entirely regressive and unjustifiable licence fee,are routinely denounced as 'far right': the go-to slur of choice for the affluent and righteous who are determined to dig in and tighten their grip .

Add to this list of misdemeanours the following: supporters of MPs Andrew Bridgen and Sir Christopher Chope; Mark Steyn and Neil Oliver fans; believers in biological fact and the equality and necessity of the two sexes-can't have one without the other; Brexit supporters; unionists and last but not least, the many many people who want an end to mass migration-both legal and illegal.

Not forgetting the unforgiveable heretics who do not accept the Net Zero promises, have not joined the Zelensky fan club- we want a ceasefire and a negotiated settlement and an end to the west's sabre rattling.

Yes, you would think they had worked out a position for requests like yours. When I worked in the Commonwealth Department of Health, a daily task during parliament sitting weeks was to prepare Possible Parliamentary Questions and their responses for the Minister of the day on the issues of the day. Why the NAA would not have chosen to do so over the National Cabinet monstrosity is a mystery - perhaps they thought no one would have a problem with it, the complacent fools.

Yes, I too have chosen to bite my tongue on all matters Covid (my friends know my dissident views) and treat all the yammer as white noise and try to preserve decades-long friendships. It's not worth the stress and strain to do otherwise.

Isn't it great how all the Covid nonsense has left the footy alone for a change (no venue capacity limits, no player absences for 'Covid protocols', no stupid outlawing of the players' handshakes post-match, no vaccine passports). But also no recognition of the Covid past of the AFL.

Go the Dees! (and I hope I don't have to wait another 57 years for the next flag - I would be well and truly cremated by then). Please tell me you don't barrack for Carlton!

The second last paragraph resonated like a gong, thankyou.

Aside from the pleasing 'heretic hero' label, it is hopeful to imagine the lost friendships and fights to avoid 'sanitising' preserved something in my soul.
